Turkey day!

Turkey day tomorrow! I'm getting on my baking schedule so I can feed the masses tomorrow. oh don't worry, I'm not the one doing all the cooking, I am merely doing some baking, lol. I'm not retarded EH?
So I'm going to make a Spiced baked pudding today, mash up some turnip and some kind of carrot, zuchini, pumpkin concoction of a cake.
Where I come from, we eat a lot of weird things, and sure, some of them are gross, i.e cod tounges, squid, etc. But we make some damn good things too. One of them is spiced baked pudding. I swear, if I could eat that and gravy with every meal I'd be twice the whale I am today! SADDDDD.
Spiced Steamed Pudding
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
3 tsp baking powder
2 cups flour
2 tbsp cinnamon, or to your liking
pinch of salt
1 cup lukewarm water
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the unbeaten egg, mixing just enough to blend. Sift the baking powder, cinnamon, flour and a pinch of salt.
Add alternately to creamed mixture with lukewarm water, beginning and ending with flour.
Bake in a pan (I use a breadpan, have done muffin style, its really your call) for 40 minutes on 350 degrees. This time will depend on your oven.
If you are a plain Jane and would rather a non-spiced bread, just omit the cinnamon.
